Building awareness: Analysing the issues

This section provides three tools to help you think about and analyse ways of achieving improved success.

The basic requirements will engage you in thinking about general conditions which apply to the success of any student in education and training.

Another tool for thinking builds on the 'basic requirements' and relates more specifically to Indigenous students. While derived from the analysis of the success factors which appeared in the Strategic Results Projects, this analysis reflects consistent thinking, research and policy in this area.

The checklist has been found useful by educators as a means of establishing where they are up to and where areas of strength and weakness appear.
