Teaching Aboriginal Languages: Case Studies (2000)

Publisher:
Board of Studies New South Wales
New South Wales
GPO Box 5300
Sydney 2001

Five of the case studies contained within the booklet are from New South Wales - Bowraville Central, Shepherds Park SSP, Brewarrina Central, St Joseph's Primary (Walgett), and Walgett High, with one drawn from Yeperenye in the Northern Territory. All the programs described were designed and operated in partnership situations. The case studies answer questions such as
'Who was involved in the planning?';
'What were the objectives?';
'What were some of the issues?'; and
'What has been achieved?'.

The situations and actions taken are varied and will provide ideas for others who would like to establish their own Aboriginal Languages program.
