Literacy

Year 2 Net

  • % of students not requiring additional support in Reading and Writing increased from 6.7% in 1997 to 57.1% in 2002, an increase of 50.4%.

Year 5 Test

  • The school mean increased from 513 in 1998 to 520 in 2002.
  • The proportion of students identified as being above the bottom 15% decreased from 35.7% in 1998 to 14.3% in 2002, a decrease of 21.4%.

Year 7 Test

  • The school mean decreased from 560 in 1999 to 500 in 2001

Numeracy

Year 2 Net

  • % of students not requiring additional support in Number increased from 20% in 1997 to 53.6% in 2002, an increase of 33.6%.

Year 5 Test

  • The school mean increased from 518 in 1998 to 520 in 2002.
  • The proportion of students identified as being above the bottom 15% increased from 23.1% in 1998 to 78.6% in 2002, an increase of 55.5%.

Year 7 Test

  • The school mean increased from 534 in 1999 to 563 in 2001, an increase of 29 points.

Enrolments

  • The number of pre-school students has fluctuated slightly from 92 in 1999, to 82 in 2000-2001 to 88 in 2002.
  • The number of primary students has increased from 125 in 1999 to 149 in 2002, an increase of 20%.

Attendance rates

  • An improvement from 50% regular attendance in 1997 to 95% in 2002.

Stability

  • The Stability Index (60 in 1999 to 50 in 2002) is high, indicating that students are generally enrolled for long periods of time.

Apparent progression

  • The apparent progression of students from Year 1 to Year 7 increased from 52% in 1999 to 75% in 2002, an increase of 23%.

Satisfaction levels

  • Parent satisfaction in relation to student outcomes and curriculum has moved from 'satisfied' in 1998 to 'very satisfied' in 2002.
  • Staff morale has moved from 'neutral' in 1999 to 'very satisfied' in 2002.
  • Students have remained 'satisfied' with curriculum delivery.
