Staging
Students are placed in ‘home groups’ (or
class groups) and journey for Literacy and Numeracy. Each
home group consists of two year levels, and caters for the
students’ social and leaning needs, while the journey
groups cater for students’ literacy and numeracy developmental
needs.
The journey groups are organised like

Advantages for the children:
- Every student will have the opportunity to improve in
their learning as they will be taught at their own level
and will have opportunities to progress on to the next
level.
- Better opportunity for each student to reach his or her
maximum potential and be challenged to exceed that level.
- Less behavioral disturbances as all students will be
engaged with work they are capable of doing.
- Increased literacy
and numeracy levels.
